The Council
The Council receives reports at its meetings from the Chairman and the Director of the Institute on the engagements that they have conducted or attended on the Institute's behalf, as well as reports on major policy matters. The Council also considers and makes nominations to external bodies.
The Chairman answers questions from members. The main business of the Council however is dealt with in Standing Committees, whose Chairmen make oral reports to the Council summarising activities during the preceding period and also the discussions at the Standing Committee meetings which are held immediately prior to the full Council meeting.
