What our members think
Having studied for the various levels of IRRV qualification in order to obtain the full IRRV Honours membership I cannot recommend it highly enough. Through being a member of the IRRV and studying all three levels I have gained a vast amount of knowledge, grown in confidence and as a result have progressed in my career. I had to work extremely hard to make the time to study and revise for the various examinations, but I can honestly say that it was well worth the commitment and I would encourage fellow professionals to consider studying if they have not done so already.
The institute offers a wide range of resources in addition to the qualifications and study to support those working in Revenues, Benefits and Valuation; this includes professional development, access to a wide network of fellow professionals, discounts on publications, conferences and regional associations that hold local events.
I regularly attend various conferences and events held by the IRRV which I find to be extremely beneficial for keeping up to date with developments in the field and building a network of contacts. In times of austerity with the impacts of local government spending cuts affecting many local authorities it is becoming increasingly difficult to secure training budgets and funds for membership of professional bodies; however membership of the IRRV continues to prove itself to be invaluable.
