This new course is designed to give new and aspiring managers in Revenues and Benefits an insight into the key skills required to develop their potential in people and process management, resource management in a recession and other key soft skills needed by those who wish to develop as leaders in public service. The Challenge of Management in 2010 and Beyond
28th to 30th April 2010

This course looks to build upon similar courses held in Keele over the last five years. It is designed for existing managers in Revenues and Benefits (irrespective of whether they have attended one of the previous courses) and will look to develop managers skills in system thinking and self awareness. The course will include an assessment with an established personal profiling tool and the associated feedback. Exercises will be based on systems thinking and the application of the latest "lean" techniques.

Venue

The Managment Course will again be held at Keele University, Keele, Staffordshire, ST5 5BG. There are excellent transport links to the University by road, rail and air. Details can be found on the University Web Site (www.keele-conference.com), although further information will be provided with the acknowledgment of the booking form.

All residential, recreational, tutorial and dining facilities are on the University Campus and within easy walking distance of each other. Accommodation is within single en-suite study bedrooms that are serviced by domestic staff each day. There is a small shopping complex on site, which includes a Bank and Post Office.
