PaymentPlan entered the Excellence in Partnership Working Award to showcase the difference their product has made to Rugby Borough Council's collections team.  In 2023, collections were at an all-time low with a small team and heavy pressure from the DWP. RBC needed a fast and simple solution that needed no extra staff or complicated systems to implement.
 
RBC saw an immediate response after loading up the first debts in Jan 2024 and had engagement levels from clients they hadn't seen before. Now used front and centre of RBC's collection process, the system allows clients to manage their own bill, using a series of understanding and sympathetic nudges and it has outperformed ALL the other collection methods. 
 
RBC are seeing success rates of between 40% and 58% with over £200,000 either collected or in plans. Some of this was debt that was about to be written off.
