This one day professional meeting is to be delivered virtually by Gary Watson IRRV (Hons), Deputy Chief Executive, IRRV. It is an event aimed at those working within both Local Government and the Private Sector.
The meeting will focus on a billing authority’s discretionary power to award relief under Section 44A (part-occupied hereditaments), Section 47 (Discretionary) and Section 49 (hardship) of the Local Government Finance Act 1998. This will include looking at the increasing reliance on Central Government to fund discretionary relief under Section 47. There will also be a review of relevant case law.
