6 December 2021, Virtual
This important seminar is the start of a series of events concerning the progress on the operation and development of Breathing Space and the Statutory Debt Repayment Plan. This first event will look at the implications for local government of the detailed plans from the Treasury on the introduction of the Statutory Debt Repayment Plan. The programme will look at the detailed impact of the initial proposals on local government debt administration. The Treasury are planning a long lead in time to this legislation to ensure the delivery and detail are properly considered. The Institute intends to be very robust in its response to this new approach to long term debt recovery and it is important that we gather thoughts from all who are involved in public sector debt recovery.
