BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, MARSTON HOLDINGS (MARSTON)

Bob has worked in both Local Government and the Private Sector for over 35 years. Before taking up his current role in September 2019, he led his multi award winning team in North Warwickshire since March 2000 where he had responsibility for a range of functions including Revenues, Benefits, Fraud, Financial Inclusion, Health & Well Being and all aspects of Customer Access & Engagement including outreach services and its nationally acclaimed Food hub .

A past National President of the IRRV (2007-08) and President of the West Midlands Association (1998-99), Bob has served on the National Council since 2000 in a variety of roles which have included chairing the Commercial Services Committee and the Revenues Faculty Board. He is a very frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, delivered the National IRRV forum service in 2010 and was a National tutor and examiner primarily in Business Rates and Council Tax on a variety of Institute courses which he undertook between 1995 and 2013..

He has, and continues to be regular advisor to the Government on a range of Revenues, Benefits and Customer related matters representing the sector on a number of working groups both for the Local Government Association, and the IRRV with the DHCLG, DWP, the Cabinet Office, and the Ministry of Justice.
